Modernisation rarely fails on the technology.
It fails on the discovery.

Secure Digital Change is our delivery practice: modernising the systems a business already depends on, without opening a hole in the process — and without pretending the discovery is smaller than it is.

Start with a discovery
The problem

The business case is written against the target, not the starting point.

The target is well understood. The tooling is mature, the migration paths are trodden, the vendors are competent. The starting point is fifteen years of enhancement packs, custom fields whose author left in 2011, and documentation that stopped being true several versions ago. That is where the programme is won or lost, and it is where we begin.

The point.

You cannot safely replace what you do not understand. Discovery is not the paperwork before the project. It is the project's first and highest risk.

The word secure is a sequencing claim, not an adjective.

Every firm says security is built in. What that should mean is a position in the sequence: controls, identity, segmentation and data protection are decided at stage two, when the target is designed — not reviewed at stage five, when changing them is expensive. If a plan shows security as a phase near the end, it is not built in. It is scheduled.

How the engagement runs

Five stages.

01

Assess.

What you actually have, and what the deadline actually is.

02

Design.

Target architecture, data model, integration and controls.

03

Prove.

A dry run against real data, before anybody commits to a cutover date.

04

Deliver.

Build, migrate, integrate, test.

05

Transition.

Documentation, ownership and hypercare, then out.

Who this is for

Signs you need it.

Most of these are visible a year before the programme that has to deal with them.

  • A vendor end-of-support date with a real deadline attached.
  • A system only one person can safely change.
  • A migration attempted once already, and stopped.
  • Documentation that stopped being true several versions ago.
  • A cloud business case written on licence savings alone.
  • A plan where security appears as a phase near the end.
  • Data quality problems that surface mid-programme rather than before it.
Where we are direct

What this is not.

Secure Digital Change is not a licence resale with a project wrapped round it, and it is not a lift-and-shift presented as transformation. We will not take a fixed price against a scope you cannot yet describe — where the estate is not understood, we sell you the discovery first and price the rest when it is honest to do so.

Next step

Find out what you are actually starting from.

Most programmes open with a scoped discovery, priced separately from the delivery that follows. It is the cheapest part of the programme and the part that decides the rest of it.
